Partners
A strong network of funding and cooperation partners, supporters, and friends — along with professional structures, determination, and dedication — forms the foundation of our impactful and continuously expanding work. To all of you: our deepest thanks. Thank you for your solidarity, for your trust, for your encouragement, and for joining us in exploring new paths. We remain committed to building equitable partnerships and ensuring the stability and continuity of our work.
Key Partners
adidas Foundation / adidas Stiftung
The adidas Foundation is supporting ZWEITZEUGEN’s educational work in the field of sports over a three-year period — enabling many more people to become second witnesses.

Aktion Mensch
Aktion Mensch is funding our three-year project ›Zweitzeug*innen inklusiv‹ through the end of 2026. The project enables children and young people — with and without special educational needs — to become second witnesses at learning venues hosted by football clubs.

North Rhine-Westphalia's Commissioner for Combating Antisemitism, Jewish Life and the Culture of Remembrance
Since June 2020, the Commissioner for Combating Antisemitism of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) has supported our educational work in schools and extracurricular learning spaces across NRW, both through financial support and public endorsement. This funding allows us to offer workshops for children and youth throughout Germany’s most populous state.

Haniel Foundation
The Haniel Foundation has been supporting our organization since 2017, helping us to maintain and expand our educational programs in Duisburg and the surrounding region — especially in places and institutions that are often not reached by extracurricular initiatives.

Klett Foundation
Since 2023, the Klett Foundation has been supporting our organization, helping us to maintain and expand our programs—especially making them accessible to places and institutions that are often not reached by extracurricular offerings.

LVR (Regional Authority of Rhineland)
The LVR provides three years of funding to support work at football learning sites across North Rhine-Westphalia.

Open Society Foundations
Since 2023, the Open Society Foundations have been supporting our organization, helping us to deliver our programs nationwide.

Postcode Lottery
The two-year support from the Postcode Lottery enables us to showcase our exhibition in five cities across Germany and invites young people to help shape it and engage in dialogue — working together to counteract the division in our society.

Regional Partners and Project Funding
PARITÄTISCHE JUGENDWERK NRW
Since 2019, the Paritätisches Jugendwerk NRW has been advising, connecting, and supporting us. Through joint funding projects, we’ve been able to build and expand our work with out-of-school partners. In 2023, this included the implementation of a peer-to-peer project in collaboration with the Quäker Nachbarschaftsheim e.V. in Cologne.
GAG IMMOBILIEN AG
The Cologne-based GAG Immobilien AG supports our organization through a corporate partnership and related funding to build a network and infrastructure connecting schools and educational stakeholders in Cologne. The goal is to enable ZWEITZEUGEN’s long-term impact in the city and promote a culture of tolerance.
Ingrid and Reinhard Wederhake Foundation Fund
With the foundation’s support, we are able to further establish our educational work and expand our network. This support secures ZWEITZEUGEN’s educational programs nationwide with both school-based and extracurricular institutions.
SIGNAL IDUNA GROUP
As a corporate member, the Signal Iduna Group supports our educational work throughout Germany.
State Agency for Civic Education North Rhine-Westphalia
In a cooperative project between ZWEITZEUGEN e.V. and the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, transnational educational dialogues take place between young people from North Rhine-Westphalia, youth from New York City, and Holocaust survivors from the USA.
Sparkassen Foundation Herford
In 2024, the Sparkassen Foundation Herford is supporting ZWEITZEUGEN’s educational work at schools in the Herford district.
Education Foundation of Kreissparkasse Köln
From 2025 to 2026, the Education Foundation of Kreissparkasse Köln will support ZWEITZEUGEN’s educational work in the Rheinisch-Bergischer, Oberbergischer, Rhein-Erft, and Rhein-Sieg districts.
