Supporting membership for companies

As a corporate member, you support the ZWEITZEUGEN e.V. association financially with a membership fee. This enables you to

our daily educational work with children and young people in schools and extracurricular facilities
our exhibitions, the preparation of interviews, interview magazines and didactic booklets
the development of projects such as ‘Second Witnesses in Football’ or the digitalisation of life stories
our ongoing contact with contemporary witnesses and their relatives
our general association work

Who can become a corporate member?

It is also possible for companies to support the association by becoming a supporting member. For this, the application must be reviewed by the Board of Directors in accordance with our ethical guidelines.

What are the benefits of corporate membership?

You will be invited to the general meeting where you can contribute to the content and ask us direct questions about our work. We ask you as a company member for your opinion on major issues and topics that are very important to us, e.g. via a survey. This was recently done, for example, when we set up our Advisory Board and when we decided to change our name.

Corporate members receive additional benefits and advantages with their membership:

Each corporate member can book up to two full-day ZWEITZEUGEN workshops per year for their employees at a preferential price (50% discount).
Corporate members receive a 10% discount on our publications and products.
We actively involve corporate members in local remembrance and educational work in their region. This means that if a school or other educational institution cannot raise sufficient funds to book a ZWEITZEUGEN workshop, the company can finance the shortfall.

Information on volunteering

Minimum contribution corporate member

The contributions for companies are based on the number of employees. The minimum annual membership fee for companies from the private sector is:

300 €

up to 300 employees

1.000 €

up to 1,000 employees

5.000 €

more than 1,000 employees

The minimum annual membership fee for companies from the common good and/or local government is 60 euros.

We authorise ZWEITZEUGEN e.V. to collect payments from our account by direct debit. At the same time, we instruct our bank to honour the direct debits drawn on my account by the ZWEITZEUGEN e.V. association. Note: I can demand reimbursement of the debited amount within eight weeks of the debit date. The conditions agreed with my bank apply. The annual fee is collected on 15 January of each year. The first collection date is four weeks after the application for the current cycle: no more advance information required before collection.

Cancellation

Your membership must be terminated with three months' notice to the end of the financial year (31 December), i.e. by 30 September. It must be in writing, addressed to the Executive Board by e-mail and sent to mitglieder@zweitzeugen.de.

Two examples

If a member cancels their sponsoring membership by the end of September of a year, they remain a member of the association until 31 December of the same year and also pay their contributions until the end of the same year.

However, if a member cancels their membership between 1 October and 31 December of a given year, they will remain a sustaining member until 31 December of the following year and will continue to pay their membership fee until then.
